The case for residential home building is obvious in and around Western Canada:

Labor shortage and the demand for new construction has put buyers at the mercy of
many high contracting bills. In areas like Dewinton where a home can cost you upwards of
$1.5 million, you can still buy a serviced lot for under $300,000 and get financing from
alternate lenders. Also, with our many duplex and infill designs, we make sub-dividing
easy and affordable. Or if you like, bring us your design and we will customize your
package.

How do you get started building your own home?

1. Choose a lot

2. Choose a plan (choose from a stock plan on this site, from
www.westhomeplanners.com or send us an idea of a custom plan you want to create)

3. Get your drafting started, approved and finalized

4. Apply for your Development Permit with your blueprints

5. Arrange for your package delivery

6. Decide if you want to have Cameron Manors finish your home to the following levels:

A. YOU BUILD: completely finish the home yourself

B. WE BUILD TOGETHER: have Cameron Manors erect the home shell starting at $9.50 a
square foot, then you side and roof the home.

C. WE BUILD TOGETHER: have Cameron Manors erect the home shell, finish siding and
roofing starting at $14.50 a square foot then you finish the interior.

D. WE BUILD: complete builds starting at $195 a square foot including the price of the
package. Contact a Cameron Manors representative for an estimate.

HINTS:
1. Arrange for your foundation to be poured prior to delivery of the package, any roughed
in plumbing should be done prior to pouring the foundation to save costs.

2. Arrange for 6 - 8 people to be there on delivery day to help you unload the truck. One
person should be assigned to checking off the checklist to ensure we find out about any
missing products to get them to you as soon as possible.

3.A representative from Cameron Manors will be there on delivery day to verify checklist
and package condition.

4. Read your step by step manual for assembly before you begin, then get started

5. Contact your sales representative if support is required.
